HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY RESULTS?

Your results will be either emailed in a secure PDF to the email address indicated in the form you fill in on line or the app when you purchase the Kit. If your results do not appear in your inbox please ensure to check your junk mail folder.

HOW DO I CALCULATE MY QUARANTINE PERIOD?

The day you arrive in England will be treated as day zero. Your day 2 test must be taken at any time from day 0 to day 2. Your Test to Release must be taken on or after day 5. Your day 8 test must be taken on or after day 8.

WHAT IF I AM FULLY VACCINATED?

If you’ve visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before arriving in England, please refer to the advice above (What if I’m travelling from a ‘red list’ country)

From 4th October onwards, everyone entering England from outside the Common Travel Area (Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man) who is fully vaccinated and is not travelling from a Red List country will have to take a day 2 test, with no requirement to isolate unless positive.

On arrival in England you must:

  • Take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 after you arrive. You do not need to quarantine unless the test result is positive.
  • You must follow these rules even if you have been vaccinated.
  • You must self-isolate if NHS Test & Trace informs you that you travelled to England with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF FULLY VACCINATED?

Fully vaccinated means you have received all necessary doses of a vaccine:

· in the UK, or UK vaccine programme overseas. A list of which can be found by clicking the following link:

· Approved COVID-19 vaccines and countries with approved COVID-19 proof of vaccination – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) 

Arrivals must have had a complete course of a recognised vaccine at least 14 days before arriving in England.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I PROVIDE INCORRECT INFORMATION OR DON’T QUARANTINE?

You can receive substantial fines or even a custodial sentence. Please check the government website for further information.

WHEN CAN I LEAVE QUARANTINE?

When you arrive in England you must go directly to your quarantine location and not leave until 10 days have passed. You can only leave quarantine once you have both received a negative day 8 test result and passed the 10 day quarantine period. Please see further information on the government website.

You can only leave quarantine early if you receive a negative test result on or after day 5 through the Test to Release programme. You can book a Test to Release test through our website here.

Even if you test negative through Test to Release and finish your quarantine early, you still need to take your day 8 test.

WHEN CAN I TAKE MY DAY 2 AND DAY 8 TESTS?

You can take your day 2 test any time on or before day 2 following your arrival in England. You can take your day 8 test on or after day 8. The day of arrival in England will be treated as day zero.

CAN I STILL USE TEST TO RELEASE TO LEAVE QUARANTINE EARLY?

Yes, you can still leave quarantine early if you receive a negative test result on or after day 5 through the Test to Release programme. You can book a Test to Release test through our website.

Even if you test negative through Test to Release and finish your quarantine early, you still need to take your day 8 test.

DOES THE DAY 2 AND DAY 8 PACKAGE INCLUDE GENOMIC SEQUENCING?

Yes. There is a requirement by the UK government to conduct genomic sequencing on all positive test results from day 2 tests. This is included in the overall cost of the testing package.

HOW DO I GET TO MY QUARANTINE LOCATION?

When you arrive in England you must go straight to the place where you intend to quarantine. Only use public transport if you have no other options. Do not travel by public transport if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. Please see the government website for further details.

WHAT IF MY KIT DOES NOT ARRIVE?

We recommend ordering your kit in plenty of time. If your kit does not arrive in time please wait and take your sample as soon as possible. If your kit does not arrive at all please let us know so we can send a replacement.

WHAT DO I DO IF I’M TRAVELLING FROM A ‘RED LIST’ COUNTRY?

A red list country is a country where travel to the UK is banned. Anyone who is arriving in England who has visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before their arrival needs to follow the UK government’s guidance.

WHAT IF I AM UNVACCINATED?

If you’ve visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before arriving in England, please refer to the advice above (What if I’m travelling from a ‘red list’ country)

WHERE CAN I FIND MY TRAVEL TEST PACKAGE BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER?

Your Travel Test Package booking reference number will be a 7 digit number starting with a 5 letter prefix and will be included on your confirmation email. This will be needed  when completing your PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM.

WHAT TEST DO I NEED?

Please make sure that you order the correct test. If you are travelling to another country, please check the requirements to enter the destination country. Please check on the Government website for your specific requirements. Coronavirus (COVID-19): guidance and support – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

CAN I LEAVE QUARANTINE EARLY IF MY DAY 8 TEST IS NEGATIVE?

No, even if your day 8 test is negative, you must stay in quarantine until day 10, unless you purchase a Test to Release test.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TEST POSITIVE IN EITHER OF THE DAY 2 OR DAY 8 TESTS?

If your day 2 or day 8 test results are positive, you must quarantine for an additional 10 days from the day you took the test – further advice will be provided with your test results.

If your test shows that you have a variant of coronavirus known as a ‘variant of concern’ you and anyone you have been in contact with, will be contacted.

CAN I LEAVE MY QUARANTINE LOCATION TO COLLECT OR CONDUCT MY COVID-19 TESTS?

Yes, you are permitted to leave your quarantine location to collect or conduct your COVID-19 test but you are required to return to your quarantine location as soon as this is completed.
